Modern Twist on Tulle
“Gowns with full skirts made of soft, airy, lightweight tulle are trending this season, giving every bride the opportunity to feel ethereal and romantic at the same time,” says Winnie Chlomin of Winnie Couture. This A-line dress with a sweetheart neckline captures the romance that every bride feels on her wedding day.

It’s all in the Details
“We see our brides wanting to make statements either with low back detailing or to shine in one of our art deco inspired beaded styles,” says a representative from Moonlight Bridal. The lace in this style enhances the bride’s curves while the back detailing makes a dramatic statement on her big day.

A New Vision
"Elegant and effortlessly chic, the latest bridal season's gowns have been re-imagined with a modern and unconventional twist," says Gemy Maalouf. Pretty lace and flattering silk create a classic elegance fit for any bride.

Be Yourself
“This season, I feel the key trend for brides is personality,” says Jean-Ralph Thurin. “Your wedding dress is the most important dress you will wear. It should be a complete representation of who you are and that can be through a sexy neckline, a dramatic train or glitzy embellishments.” This design is sleek and sexy, showing off the bride’s figure while staying classic in its shape.

A Classic Combination
A wedding band is like an engagement ring’s soul mate, so it’s fitting that each piece share commonalities. This round, brilliant-cut diamond engagement ring is encrusted with pave diamonds. Trends in Accessories
Jessica Leung, creative director for Hey Lady says that 2015 is “all about soft, sexy, swoon-worthy aisle style.” Co-founder Emily Leung agrees, noting, “It’s all about statement pieces, and the statement is you.”

Soft and Romantic
A modern coupling of pastel shades like blues, grays, pinks and mints with a touch of metallic accent in gold or silver leads the color trends in 2015, making a subdued statement.

Bride on a Budget
For brides-to-be who plan to “say yes to the dress" in 2015, Goodwill Industries of Central Florida offers a range of options in its retail stores across the region. The non-profit’s Winter Park boutique, located at 759 Orange Avenue, has the broadest selection of wedding gown styles, with designer names such as Vera Wang and Gloria Vanderbilt frequently arriving to the racks.
Most are priced at $79.99 and up, and dresses tagged with the color of the week are 50 percent off. An intricately beaded Oleg Cassini sheath was recently spotted for $85. Other gowns on the rack included vintage details, trend-setting accent colors, lace overlays, ruched chiffon and a variety of other styles and features appropriate for any season or level of formality. Also available are petticoats, veils and shoes for a fraction of the price shoppers would pay in a bridal store.
Plus, shopping and donating at Goodwill directly supports job training and placement programs that help Central Floridians find meaningful work. For more information, visit www.goodwillcfl.org.
